1. About the OS

Welcome to the SimpleOS Interface! This operating system simulator allows you to interact with a virtual desktop environment right in your browser. You can open applications, customize settings, and experience a desktop-like interface.

Explore the desktop icons to launch apps, use the taskbar to manage open windows, and access the Start Menu to find programs and settings. Enjoy your journey with SimpleOS!

2. Voice Assistant

The Voice Assistant allows you to control the OS using voice commands. You can open applications, ask for help, and interact hands-free. The Voice Assistant icon is a robot symbol located next to the Start button when enabled.

To use the Voice Assistant:

• Click the robot icon to open the Voice Assistant window.
• Press the circular button at the bottom to start recording.
• Speak your command or question.
• Press the button again to stop recording.
• The assistant will process your request and respond.

You can enable or disable the Voice Assistant and its voice responses in the Settings under the "Voice Assistant" tab.

3. Notepad

Notepad is a simple text editor for writing and saving notes.

Features:

• Type and edit text in the main area.
• Use the "File" menu to save your notes as a text file. If the text is empty, it will save as "My document.txt". Otherwise, it uses the first word as the filename.
• Access the "Settings" menu to change the font type and size.

4. Web Browser

The Web Browser lets you navigate the internet within the OS.

How to use:

• Open the Web Browser from the desktop or Start Menu.
• Enter a website URL or search term in the address bar.
• Press Enter to navigate.

Note: Due to browser security policies (CORS), some websites may not display correctly in the iframe.

5. TextChat

TextChat is a messaging app that allows real-time communication with other users.

Features:

• See connected users in the sidebar.
• Send and receive messages in real-time.
• Receive sound notifications for new messages when the app is open.

The user list updates automatically when users join or leave the chat.

6. Settings

The Settings app lets you customize your SimpleOS experience.

Tabs:

• Account: View your Websim username and profile picture.
• Customization: Change the desktop's main color and select the gradient type (Inverted or Shaded).
• Voice Assistant: Enable or disable the Voice Assistant and its voice responses.
